Our Mediterranean Cruise on the Ruby Princess begins in the port city of Barcelona, Spain. The fourth most visited city in Europe (behind Paris, London, and Rome), Barcelona is an internationally renowned tourist destination, with its mild and warm climate, and historical monuments. Among the sights we took in were the Marcet de la Boqueria, also known as the Market of St. Joseph, which was located directly behind our La Rambla hotel. The works of the remarkable architect Antoni Gaudi are seen throughout the city, with his best known work being the immense and still unfinished church of Sagrada Familia, which has been under construction since 1882!
