Throughout the night of January 1, the ship navigated through the narrow Beagle Channel, crossing from Chilean waters to the Argentinian port of Ushuaia. (Alongside is the cruise ship, The World, which serves as a residential community for 150-200 passengers who travel the world on the ship while living on the ship.) Once our ship leaves port, we sail through the Chilean Fjords and witness majestic glaciers among the Andes Mountains, the longest mountain chain in the world on land.
